Dr. Chan received his Ph.D. degree of Developmental Biology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2008 and continued his research in neuroscience till 2012. In the same year, he became an assistant professor in the Graduate Institute of Physiology at National Taiwan University. He continues his neuroscience research that is specifically focused on the function of Rab-GTPase family proteins.
As many of us are interesting in faculty position in Taiwan, he will share his experience of how to package yourself for a position of tenure-track faculty, how to make a smooth transition from postdoc into assistant professor, and how to conquer the challenges as a junior faculty member.
There will be a Q&A session after his presentation. Please feel free to bring your questions.
